ADDITIONAL HEADSHOT INFO:
I bring the studio to your doorstep! I'll capture your unique professional headshots, making the process convenient and comfortable, right in your own space.
We can work in a home, at a place of business, almost anywhere that has sufficient space!
Bad lighting? No problem. I bring several lights to handle most normal lighting conditions to ensure quality photos regardless of how good or bad the light in your environment is. At most, I'll just need a darker location so I can shape the light with my own.
Whether you're after a more unconventional and creative headshot or a clean professional headshot, I'm happy to work with you on either style.
Whether you're an individual looking for a LinkedIn portrait or a large corporate team in need of cohesive headshots for your company, I've got you covered!

PHOTOSHOP INFO:
While many photographers aim for minimal editing, I believe in striving for both great shots and creative editing. I prefer to utilize the best of both worlds. Sometimes, a well-executed edit can transform a photo from interesting to absolutely phenomenal, as seen in my rooftop shoot. That's why I include thorough editing in all of my sessions to ensure the best final result.
I breathe extra life into your photos with custom color correction, enhancing the colors, adding vibrancy to skin tones, adding depth to textures, and ultimately creating a clean, polished look that showcases your unique style.
For up close portraits I include skin retouching. I meticulously fix blemishes, enhance eyes, whiten teeth, and more - creating a flawless and natural look that highlights your best features.
I also edit backgrounds, occasionally replacing the sky (especially when there are no clouds in the sky) and removing distracting elements. With meticulous attention to detail I edit each photo to ensure the focus remains on you.
My creative editing style is the darker moody aesthetic, where shadows and rich tones combine to create an atmospheric ambiance. I bring out textures and depth in your photos, evoking a tactile quality so you can almost feel the textures within the image.
Session Prep Guide:
In order to get the best look you'll want to be sure to get a fresh cut or style so your hair looks its best. The cleaner the cut/style, the cleaner the photo will look. This may be an easy oversight not to be overlooked. This includes facial hair for men.
Just like other items on this list, your makeup can make a profound difference in the end result of your photos. This is especially true for any shots that are mostly showcasing your face.
Necklaces, rings, bracelets, watches, or anything in this category can really add that extra flare to the end result of a photo. Personally I recommend utilizing as much tasteful jewelry as possible. And the best part is that you can always take it off or change it up during a shoot.
Sunglasses (and even glasses) almost always make you look a thousand times cooler. They add so much attitude and style to the shot. This is true whether it's bright and sunny, shooting at night, or even in the studio. Having a variety of sunglasses for your shoot is highly recommended.
The selection of clothing you wear can make all the difference in the world. The more fashionable the better. My personal style tends to lean toward earth tones, however an accent color can really make a photo pop. To get the most out of your shoot I would recommend having several changes of clothes. And another important bonus tip is to make sure there are no wrinkles and that you transport your clothes on hangers to avoid wrinkles as much as possible.
If you aren't an experienced model you probably also aren't experienced in posing. This can be a challenge for those inexperienced with posing for photoshoots. I can certainly direct you and pose you, however to maximize our time together I highly recommend looking up ways to pose and practicing those poses in advance to our session. You can search "how to pose men/women" just about anywhere to find information on the topic.
Ideal Shooting Locations:
My favorite place to shoot is near the core of a city. The options feel endless. There's usually an abundance of clean modern backgrounds, gritty textures, smooth glass, pretty landscaping, or the rough edges of the city. There are so many opportunities for interesting backgrounds in just about every city, even the small ones.
High income neighborhoods tend to provide business fronts, parks, and other areas that produce a more clean, modern, and premium look to your session, with the added bonus of a bit more safety.
The College Campuses that are larger and more well known tend to be safer and provide plenty of interesting areas to use for backgrounds.
If you're seeking a nature shoot, the options are usually abundant. We can find a very interesting spot to shoot, or we can shoot in front of something as simple as a large bush.
Realistically we can shoot almost anywhere. I've had a lot of practice being creative with locations that would be considered "bad" or "unphotogenic" and with a little bit of creativity almost any spot will work. I'm up for the challenge and willing to work with whatever we have at hand. For headshots, all I need is sufficient space and a room that isn't extremely bright so that I can shape the light with my own lighting.
The time of day can make all the difference in the world when shooting outdoors. If the sun is out it's usually best to avoid shooting in the middle of the day for outdoor sessions. The most ideal time to shoot is usually between 5pm and 8pm depending on the season. The goal is to capture "Golden Hour" which is roughly an hour before the sun sets. Once the sun reaches the horizon the lighting starts to change dramatically and. I can shoot at night as well, or if we do an indoor session or headshot session the time becomes mostly irrelevant.
